cut down my Classic Blueberry at exactly eight weeks to the day of flowering (only gave it nineteen days from seed of grow time)
I put it in fridge (only 18 inches high buds big around as quart jars!) which is suppose to blue it up more, probably leave it until tomorrow. Also put it intact into vase with a little bit of BudXL and a little bit of powdered suger - like you would with fresh flowers? The BudXL is suppose to draw THC and Cannabinoids from the leaf into the bud so I'm hoping to drive the rest of it into the bud, we'll see.
hope it doesn't fuck it up somehow!
The lemon haze needs another 5 days or so, was growing the blueberry and lemon haze together in a 5 gallon plastic bucket with a bubbler worked great. Put BudXL and Shooting Star (finishing agent suppose to move essential oils into buds and really bring out flavor and smell as well as bulking them up a little more) so hopefully i'll see some more boom and pow from the lemon haze before harvest?
The outdoor girls which I had to bring in are much larger but a lot further behind maybe ten days away from harvest. These soil grown plants are way lighter buds then those grown under sodium light. I don't think the soil plants are responding to the BudXL (not sure about the Shooting Star yet will have to wait until testing after harvest to tell on that) but the BudXL really does it's job in hydro where the nutrients are so readily available to the plants, I think

Re: Harvested Classic Blueberry
Mon, October 12, 2009 - 9:13 AMrefrigerator treatment didn't seem to make much difference in color after two days
hung to dry now
very little blue color and very little odor? Haven't tested it yet pulled the whole thing pretty early (maybe too early, should have left another two to three days maybe? but I like my indica early) and i haven't tested any at all wait until it is partially cured then test it in maybe three days? -

Re: Harvested Classic Blueberry
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 2:13 PMtested partially cured Blueberry finally - may not look blue, little violet, but has a soft blueberry smell and a smooth, blueberry smoke and nice indica high but not too hard - not a ball buster high? Hopefully similar the the Orange Bud I'm going to grow next. Good high any time morning or night. I hope and suspect it will get better as it cures properly.
Harvesting some of the Amnesia lemon haze both indoor and outdoor branches but haven't done the main harvest. (branches hanging all over my grow room now smells like lemon dish soap) When lights go out tonight at 6 pm, I'll pull the light cords and let them sit in the dark for 48 hours and should be just nailed ready - I hope?
Outdoor girls real close also will probably put outside tomorrow and flush the soil thorough with Final Flush and harvest the next day and that should be dead on - I hope?
About to smell like heaven in my little house - man do i wish i had my camera? (And a camera than records and renders smells?) -

Re: Harvested Classic Blueberry
Sat, October 17, 2009 - 7:19 AMi was talking to my brother in law who is a robotic engineer and will be helping me set up the commercial grow - thank you jesus! - and he was asking me about breeding, assuming I'd be using my own strains. I don't feel competent to do that at all right now. Fortunately there are many great strains many also quite stable to choose from for now. Maybe after a year or two or commercial growing, I'll know enough to tackle breeding.
When I finally do, no to brag, but like everything else, I'll do it right. Think I'll go all the way back to landraces and sort of start over. Have to get my hands on a orginal mountain Thai? -
