Tue, September 29, 2009 - 6:33 AMgo to war on it
hydrogen peroxide the hardware store variety where resperator and soak everything down after clearing out grow area - then google will suggest other things i would do whatever i could afford - the HP method is cheap except for work of cleaning green house and possible loss of crops
but then you have to take steps also to figure out why there was mold - usually water problem? sometimes solved with something as simple as lighting the area with UV light every day on a timer and/or putting a fan on it
we win the battle

and lose the war
lose the war
win the war on mold! -

Re: grey mould.
Tue, September 29, 2009 - 10:40 AMI just grew them the same as any other greenhouse plant..bear in mind it is an diy structure with clear plastic sheeting as you use in a polytunnel.
I grew them in the ground..& used tomatoe fertiliser.
I have to pick out those blasted grey buds each day now..!!
Should I crop now? |They have got to the bud stage, but not gone orangey yet at tips yet..I thought I should try & hang on another couple of weeks..but not sure now! -

Tue, September 29, 2009 - 11:08 AMo man if moid gets on 'em they're toast
it killed two of my over one year old mother clones just as I had started flowering them out - trunks were enormous like your wrists in hydro and we had a leak in the floor that spread and bang they were gone and when I inspected the roots they were half eaten up with it - looks like dusky grey or black powder goes right for buds
unlike marijuana which is harmless, mold is potentially deadly and a real buzz kill LOL -

Re: grey mould.
Tue, September 29, 2009 - 12:01 PMneed to get them out of there and dry them before they become contaminated i'd say but i'm very conservative in these matters and keep in mind that the mold can be inside the buds where you can't see it so you have to take a good look when you harvest and trim
if it's already contaminated ? Time to renew that relationship with the dealer, LOL

Wed, October 7, 2009 - 7:50 AMThanks for your advice. I have cropped & making cookies out of some & also steeping some in alcohol for a buzz.
Does anybody know if there is a species resistent to grey mould? -

Re: grey mould.
Wed, October 7, 2009 - 11:25 AMcan't get out of the fact that you must get rid of the grey mold
there are kits that test for mold i used once not too expensive good to use after you sterilize everything also never know what other molds you might have some cause serious health problems
usually the mold is there becuase of wet wood caused by a leak from the roof or plumbing and such an area would need to be found and the wood taken out and replaced - sort of the root of the problem
